About
Why Opes exists.
We built Opes on three rules: your data stays yours, every figure shows where it comes from, and what you share is always your choice.
A note from the maker
Opes began as one household's own record of property, funds and companies in several currencies. It sells no investments and gives no advice.
Three rules
- 01
Private
Hidden with one switch, shared per person and per module.
- 02
Traceable
Each figure names a document, a statement or a stated assumption.
- 03
Shared by choice
Read-only, limited to what you pick, and ended whenever you say.
What it is built around
- 01
Traceable numbers
Every figure can be explained from a document, a statement or a stated assumption.
- 02
Honest absence
Where a figure cannot be worked out, Opes says so and names what is missing, instead of showing a zero or a guess.
- 03
Ownership first
Whose money it is, yours, a co-owner's or a company's, decides where it appears and what it adds to.
- 04
Plain language
Labels say what a figure is in words you would use, in nine languages, with no jargon you have to look up.
- 05
Privacy by default
Amounts can be hidden with one switch, sharing is per person and per module, and one person's data never leaks into another's totals.
What Opes is not
- 01
Not a bank or a broker
It holds no money and carries out no trade. It records and reports.
- 02
Not an advisor
It gives no investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing it shows is a forecast of return.
